Composite structure ideal for applications requiring hygienic wash-down and sanitation

The new Albany RR400 Composite is a high performance door made of a rigid multi-composite material that is corrosion resistant and easy to clean.

The new Albany RR400 Composite is a high performance door made of a rigid multi-composite material that is corrosion resistant and easy to clean.  Because of this, the RR400 is perfect for separating interior rooms in food and beverage production and processing.

Constructed of a patented multi-composite material, the structure of the RR400 is formed without mechanical welding. It is wear-resistant without paint, resulting in 45% improved corrosion resistance compared to 316L stainless steel. Humid and acidic environments degrade steel, but not the composite material in the RR400 Composite.

Beyond general industrial applications, a Wash-Down Mode function can be added, making the RR400 ideal for food processing environments. While the standard door has smooth, easy to clean surfaces, the Wash-Down Mode makes the entire rolling drum accessible for pressure washing. With this option, the drum will over-rotate so the entire curtain and drum can be cleaned.

Additional sealing kits optimize the door for clean environments with enhanced sealing to limit air leakage for room operating pressures up to 40 Pa.  The RR400 combines pressure resistance, full access for aseptic cleaning and minimum opening time to reduce sanitary risks.

Further, the RR400 saves time and energy costs by opening and closing just in time. Thanks to its soft bottom and Wireless Reversing Edge (WRE) the door can open at the last moment and close promptly. While the safety of products and goods are guaranteed, it also minimizes the exposure time of the opening.
