ThermaFreeze™ High Speed Cold Storage Doors
High Traffic in Extreme Temperatures
From freezer to loading dock, Albany’s ThermFreeze cold storage insulated freezer doors save on energy and maintenance costs while maximizing workflow and ensuring a safer more productive environment. ThermaFreeze is one of the fastest high speed doors on the market opening at speeds of up to 130” per second. Climatex™ insulated door panel material prevents door panel moisture build up in environments with temperature variances below 32 degrees F to 45 degrees F. In extreme conditions Albany’s low voltage air flow system keeps the door panel and side frames ice free.
The self repairing ThermFreeze cold storage insulated freezer doors are perfect for high traffic operations in extreme temperatures.
ThermaFreeze™ Features

Speed
One of the Fastest High Speed Doors on the Market
ThermaFreeze comes standard with the UltraSmart controller opening at up to 130 inches per second. Fast opening and closing speeds minimize air infiltration, increases workflow and saves on energy costs.

Climatex™ Insulated Panel
Insulated Panel
Two layers of vinyl material wrapped around heavy-duty polyethylene air-pocket insulation. Maintains climate control even with temperature variances between 32 degrees F and more than 45 degrees F.

UltraDefrost™ System (Optional)
Where There is Water, There is a Problem
In high humidity environments water can build up on conventional door panels and fall to the ground. This produces an icy safety hazard for workers and equipment. Albany offers optional Infrared (IR) Light and Blower systems to help keep frost off the door and panel.

AirFlow System (Optional)
Reduce Frost and Ice Buildup
Where applicable, Albany also offers a low voltage, energy saving room temperature airflow system to reduce ice build-up.

Heated Side Frames
Prevent Frost Build-Up
In freezer applications with extreme humidity, heated side frames are used to prevent frost accumulation and icy floor hazards.

BacSeal Weather Seal
Provides Double Seal on Top and Sides
If you are going to purchase a high speed door, you want it to seal well. Albany provides a double seal of protection on all doors. Along the side columns and above the head, there is a track system that seals the gaps that can cause serious air leakage.

SureGuard Safety Light Curtain
Prevents Injury to People and Damage to Equipment
Albany doors offer more protective sensors than others in the industry, significantly reducing the risk of injury to people and damage to vehicles.
One of the most common causes of injury or damage to equipment is when a door comes down and hits an object in the door opening. This is often the result improperly installed photo eyes, or worse, none installed at all.
The SureGuard Safety System offers a full curtain of protection up to approximately six feet high on both sides of the door. Loads cannot go below or through the beams without being detected. Once an object is detected, the door automatically retracts.

MCC VectorControl
Easy to Use and Troubleshoot
Boosts speed up to 100″ per second. Convenient digital display helps detect problems early and fix them quickly. VectorControl technology only uses power needed for optimal performance. Soft start and soft stop design reduces maintenance costs.

Wireless Safety System
Eliminate Coil Cord Problems
Most high speed doors in operation today use coil cords. The problem with coil cords is they:
- Get tangled up
- Catch on other objects
- Are susceptible dot breakage
- Are difficult and costly to repair
- Tend to stretch and sail into the photo eyes causing false activation
Cut your cord with Albany’s Wireless Safety System and eliminated all of these common problems.

Low Profile Side Frames
Fits Into Tight Spaces
Projects less than four inches from the wall and requires only six inches of side clearance.

BacTrack Soft Bottom Bar
Fully Padded
All Albany doors come with a fully padded, soft touch bottom bar. The Albany soft bottom bar greatly reduces the risk of injuries often associated with aluminum extrusions.
